In 2011, Nike secured the design and production rights for NFL jerseys across all 32 teams. The Innovation team was entrusted with the mission to expedite the design and enhance the functionality of these jerseys.

Strategically, we reconfigured sleeve openings and integrated gussets to ensure an optimal range of motion for athletes. This innovative design accommodates various shoulder pad configurations, with the gusset design aligning seamlessly with the negative space of multiple shoulder pad designs. The sleeve opening is strategically positioned toward the front of the user at a defined angle, maximizing the athlete's range of motion.

This groundbreaking invention was a result of collaborative efforts with the Seattle Seahawks and the New York Giants. Insights from athletes, rigorous product testing, and personalized 1:1 fittings played a pivotal role in refining and validating this cutting-edge functional design.
